We do our best to leave no trace of our products or brand in the environment. We source ingredients that are produced ethically and sustainably. We never use artificial fragrances, sulfates, alcohol, phthalates, colorants, petrochemicals, silicones, benzoyl peroxide or parabens. Helen is a Park City, Utah based skin care expert, trained Master Esthetician and Esthetics Instructor with more than 35-years of experience, as well as the founder of her namesake skincare line, Helen Knows Best.
Helen’s career began in the late 1980’s at the Conservatory of Esthetics in Chicago, Illinois under the guidance of Barbara Salomone. Here, she gained a comprehensive education in esthetics from some of the most renowned instructors from the United States and Europe, allowing her the opportunity to actively hone in on her own unique method and techniques.
Following her education, Helen owned and managed the notable Nouvelle Femme Day Spa in Chicago for 15-years. Then, in 2006, Helen decided to relocate to Park City with valuable experience, a deeper passion for skincare and a newfound understanding of different regions and climates.
Her skincare line, Helen Knows Best was born shortly after her return in 2009 when a private skincare client, who was an avid skier and outdoor enthusiast, approached her looking for a product that would work with his active lifestyle.
He was in desperate need of a something that would soothe, heal and protect his environmentally damaged skin, but unfortunately, there were no products in existence that could provide the lasting relief he needed. So, Helen got to work.
Relying on her training and ingenuity, she combined the natural benefits and healing properties of Shea butter, essential oils, vitamins and natural plant extracts to formulate a holistic and preventative skin miracle, Extreme Weather™ Face Balm. In little time, her client’s skin dramatically improved and word got out about Helen’s magical Face Balm.
Since then, Helen Knows Best has grown from her signature Face Balm to include simple-step cleansers, toners, serums and other products that are free from harsh, damaging chemicals and work to restore ageless skin. Her life’s passion is in engineering skincare products that work…because it truly is what Helen Knows Best.
